This is another one from the Old Era series. This collection is tribute to the old era of Indian movies when actresses used to adorn beautiful printed sarees. Whenever I watch any movie of that era I can’t take my eyes off from those beauties. The prints used to look very much Indian, subtle and motifs are mostly floral. Those cute designs represents that particular era, era of Jaya Bhaduri’s smile, era of Sharmila Tagore’s aankhein and the era of beautiful songs. Those were the days when saree was regular affair, not just festive thing.
We have tried to reimagine and recreate that time, through our collection named ‘Sharmila’.
