This saree has been conceptualized on the theme of Bengali marriage ritual. During marriage ceremony both the families exchange gifts, with is known as Tattva. The most interesting of all gifts is the fish. The ritual is to give two fishes, symbolizing bride and groom. It is decked up as a bride, draped in a sari, and decorated with jewelry, sindoor, paan and some turmeric. Fish symbolizes good luck and prosperity, the gesture of gifting fish is their way of extending their wishes for their happiness as they embarks upon this new journey.
